1. Introduction

These Terms govern your use of the ZenFocus application and website. By using ZenFocus, you agree to these Terms.

3. Eligibility

You may not use ZenFocus in violation of applicable laws or regulations. The Owner reserves the right to restrict access where required to comply with legal obligations.

4. Accounts

You can use ZenFocus anonymously (without an account) with limited features. To access all features and sync data across devices, you can create an account using:

  • Email and password
  • Sign in with Apple
  • Sign in with Google

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Please contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of all session data, timer preferences, and other content you create in ZenFocus. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and sync this data across your devices.

6. Subscriptions and billing

ZenFocus offers paid subscription and one-time purchase options that unlock additional features. Available options are:

  • Monthly subscription
  • Annual subscription
  • Lifetime (one-time) purchase

Current prices and the features included with each option are shown in the web app before you complete a purchase. By starting a subscription or completing a purchase, you authorise us (and our payment providers) to charge the applicable fee to your chosen payment method.

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from within the web app or by contacting tom@zenfocus.io. Cancelling stops future charges; you will keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.

The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.

Payments are processed by Stripe via RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

We may change subscription prices or the features included in each plan. Where we do so, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or through the app, and price changes will only apply to billing periods that begin after the change takes effect. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it applies.

Displayed prices may exclude applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), which may be added at checkout depending on your location.

7. Refunds

We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on all paid plans (monthly, annual, and lifetime). If you request a refund within 14 days of the original purchase date, we will refund you in full.

After the 14-day window:

  • Monthly subscriptions — we do not offer refunds for the current billing period. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges, and you will keep access until the end of the current period.
  • Annual subscriptions — we do not offer refunds for the current billing period. You can cancel at any time to stop auto-renewal, and you will keep access until the end of the current period.
  • Lifetime purchases — we do not offer refunds after 14 days, as this is a one-time purchase.

Outside of this policy, we may issue refunds at our discretion — for example, for accidental renewals or technical issues that prevented you from using the Service. To request a refund, contact tom@zenfocus.io from the email address associated with your account.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to:

  • Use ZenFocus legally and appropriately
  • Not violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Not attempt to compromise the security or integrity of ZenFocus
  • Not use ZenFocus to harm, harass, or violate the rights of others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Intellectual property

All content, design, features, and functionality of ZenFocus are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of ZenFocus without our permission.

10. Service availability

We strive to keep ZenFocus available and reliable, but:

  • The service may be interrupted for maintenance or updates
  • Performance may vary depending on your device and internet connection
  • We are not responsible for downtime caused by circumstances beyond our control

11. Productivity disclaimer

ZenFocus is a productivity tool designed to help you focus. It is not a substitute for medical or psychological advice. Results may vary by individual. We make no guarantees about productivity improvements.

12. Termination

You may stop using ZenFocus and delete your account at any time by contacting us at tom@zenfocus.io. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

If we terminate your account other than for a breach of these Terms, we will refund any prepaid subscription fees on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion of the current billing period.

13. Account and data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

You can do this by:

  • using any deletion functionality provided within the Service (if available), or
  • contacting the Owner at tom@zenfocus.io from the email address associated with your account (if applicable).

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, the Owner will delete your personal data without undue delay, except where retention is required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements).

Deletion may result in permanent loss of access to your data, including tasks and focus session history. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before requesting deletion; deleting your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund beyond what is provided in Section 7 (Refunds).

Anonymous data that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.

14. Warranties

ZenFocus is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the service's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of ZenFocus, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or productivity. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

16. Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the app. Your continued use of ZenFocus after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in another jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under local consumer protection laws.
